Support FRIGID New York

Your support keeps our doors open.

FRIGID New York is a  501(c)(3) non-profit organization run by a small, dedicated staff of artists, producers, and creators, who work hard to keep FRIGID going smoothly and efficiently and to get resources to our artistic community. We were among the first to reopen our doors after lockdown and have continued to safely provide for our artists, staff, and larger community to the best of our abilities.

Not only does FRIGID provide low-cost and free space for performances, rehearsals, filming, and more, we also provide our artists with a lot of back-end support that our audiences may not fully see. This support includes…

  • setting up and run ticketing pages
  • offering customer support to audience members on behalf of shows
  • promoting shows in our emails and on our social media
  • looking for opportunities to cross-promote and find new audiences
  • scheduling tech rehearsals with members of our tech staff to help with design and cues
  • providing tech and front of house staff for performances
  • and more!

If you’re thinking, “That sounds like a lot,” you would be correct! Which is why we need your support as well.

There are a lot of ways you can help us help indie theater artists:

Our favorite way is, of course, coming to see shows or streaming them at home, but, unfortunately, ticket sales are no longer enough to sustain our work. If you’re able to support us, we really hope you’ll consider doing so. All Donations to FRIGID are tax-deductible and go towards keeping our community active and creating. If you don’t have the spare cash, we very much understand that and hope that you’ll tell folks about the work we do here and the great shows they can come see.

On behalf of our staff, artists, and community, thank you so much for your care and your support. Indie theater wouldn’t exist without you.

Email us at office@frigid.nyc if you have any questions about giving, or need a special receipt.
